Dear Sun Index Community,
It is with a mix of deep gratitude and contemplation that I share an important update with you today. After a thorough and careful review, we have made the heartfelt decision to sunset our Sun Index platform on August 15, 2024.
From our humble beginnings as QSun through two successful Kickstarter campaigns to becoming Sun Index, our journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Over these incredible eight years, we have witnessed our platform grow to touch the lives of over one million individuals, with more than 100,000 active users, particularly from North America.
The Sun Index platform, complete with the Sun Safety Advisor, Vitamin D Manager, Sunscreen Calculator, Sunscreen Scanner, and Skin Analyzer, has been a pioneer in its domain, offering critical sun exposure optimization technology long before AI became a trend. Our cutting-edge tool has been used in a multitude of scientific projects and has remained a cornerstone for sun safety guidance via our dedicated blog.
On behalf of Comfable and the entire Sun Index team, I want to express our deepest appreciation for your unwavering trust and support. Your engagement and commitment to sun safety have been our driving force and have inspired us to continually innovate and refine our offerings. Together, we have redefined how people understand and manage their sun exposure, laying important groundwork for the future.
